My girls and I recently made paper snowflakes, sparkly oobleck and the Marathon Mom’s sparkly snow playdough. Recipe for the playdough is linked below. Why not check it out and embrace all things snow related while it is still the season for it? It is often hard to wait, but soon enough winter will make way for Spring!! (Yep, spring & summer lover right here)
Just like the Marathon Mom, I too love the words sparkly and glitter! Being a Mom is so much fun on days like this. It’s all about setting aside all else I know I could/should/would be doing and instead enjoying what it feels like to be a kid again!
We also made oobleck with a dash of *GLITTER* (Bonus)
We rounded out all this crafty goodness with making homemade paper but I didn’t snap any good photos of that in time. But here are a few other resources you may want to check out if you’re thinking about wowing the kids with more snowy tricks up your sleeve:

Above all have fun! Let me know below if you have any magical moments or comedic chaos to share when you let the kid in you come out to play with the kids in YOUR life!
I was once a first grade teacher and this brought some really fun memories for me. I think I’ll make this just for the fun of it. 🙂 From BHB/Susan Cooper
Hi Susan, thanks so much for sharing that! I really love that you would make this just for the fun of it!! That’s what it’s all about : )
Hi Sybil,
Most epic day of procrastination! Reminds me of snow days back in White Bear Lake, MN where we’d sled all day then play Nintedo. Was there more to life? I haven’t found it.
But looks like you have!
Cheers,
Greg
Ha! Thanks for making me smile, Greg : )
What a fun way to beat the winter blues. I love playing in the snow, but making snowflakes inside. Brilliant.
Yep, there you go! Thanks for commenting Jill, hope you are enjoying your winter and new year!
So glad not to have kids! All that energy… great ideas to keep them busy though 🙂
Thanks JeriWB! Mine do have alot of energy but I think I’ll keep ’em! ; )
How cool! This post is right on time as its snowing right now as I type. Its been snowing all day. I love when the kids get to stay home because of the snow. Its a great time to enjoy one another and relax and now to do some of the activities you’ve listed :-). Thanks!
Couldn’t agree more, I love that feeling! Enjoy : )
I think this would be fun to do all year!

Such fun! I’ve been pulling out all kinds
Of craziness today to keep my girls occupied. We went out for a whopping 11 minutes but the wind and cold was too much for a toddler and a baby. Oh well:( we may make some of these tomorrow. Come link up with us, please! http://Www.Akreativewhim.Com/100-happy-days-14
