Thinking about: What God has already done through Make A Difference Mondays. The Make A Difference Mondays initiative is not about us or anything we may do. We do this because of Him and for Him, and will always point back to Him. In the words of Heidi St. John, “Our goal is not for anyone to be impressed by what we’re doing, but be impressed by the One we’re serving.
Reading: Forgotten God: Reversing Our Tragic Neglect of the Holy Spirit
for women’s Bible study at SouthBrook Church.
Listening to: The new series on the purpose of suffering at SouthBrook Church is so good so far, I want to listen to it again and again! This is a big topic which has carried much significance in my life and one that I know I’ll always be highly interested in. As a counselor, as a Christ-follower, and as one more human being subject to the effects of the fall – this topic will never be far from my mind.
Watching: My husband install a new garbage disposal under the watchful eye of our ten year old who daily brims with insatiable curiosity. She’s always been fascinated by how things work and how they’re put together, so her eyes light up and she’s right at Daddy’s side when something needs fixing! To realize that not only do we actually have a man in the house capable of this type of repair work, but the same kid who is simply crazy about being Daddy’s right-hand girl is also homeschooled and it’s no big deal for her to stay up late so as not to miss this moment. This is no small grace.
Thankful for: A beautiful Spring weekend full of undeserved blessings and gorgeous sights that make my heart sing!

Thankful for a great day at Cincinnati Homeschool Convention this past Friday to meet and learn from The Busy Mom, Heidi St. John

Thankful for a surprise Sunday brunch made by my sweet husband and kids this weekend. Pretty much the best kind of ‘just because’ gift I can think of! ๐

Loved your beautiful photos and made a note of the Bible study you’re reading. It sounds great! I’m currently … reading The Introvert Advantage (again), waiting for my copy of Surprised by Motherhood to arrive on Thursday (woot, woot!), reconnecting with a childhood friend, eagerly anticipating the end of school (15 more days, not that anyone’s counting), AND celebrating the fact that I found your blog. ๐
Thanks so much for sharing your joy in these things, it made my day and made me smile! : ) Cannot wait to read Surprised by Motherhood as well! You are so sweet & I too am so glad you have made your way to She Lives Free!
So sweet that they made you a surprise brunch!! That’s too cute. I’m excited to check out more of Make a Difference Mondays. I read about it before, but I think it’s when I was in Sick SpaceLand ๐ Thank you for linking up with us, Sybil! ~Jenna
Thanks so much Jenna, looking forward to seeing you around here soon!
