Welcome to another edition of Make A Difference Mondays! If you take away only one thing from this post, take away this – the Make A Difference Mondays initiative is not about us or anything we may do. We do this for God and because of Him, and will always point back to Him. Our goal is not for anyone to be impressed by what we’re doing, but be impressed by the One we’re serving.

I don’t know about you but I have found the more hats I am wearing, the more balls I am juggling at one time – the easier it is to fall behind on the news (not to mention alot of other things ;)) Sometimes that’s okay, or even a good thing. There is alot on the news each day, I definitely do not miss seeing. But sometimes there are the incredibly relevant and important stories in the news that I definitely do missing seeing. Sometimes it takes me a few days or more to catch up and really be up to date on the very realities that those suffering in these stories cannot escape. I’m sad to say I still need to read up on all that’s going on in the stories of the kidnapped Nigerian girls, and undoubtedly much more. One recent news story has hit home in a unique way this past week, so I want to get up to date on the current situation, and would encourage you to do the same. You may remember hearing about the storms in the Midwest and Southern states recently. Well one of our own, a blogger on the #MADMlinkup launch team has been deeply affected by the storm that hit her home in Alabama and it’s devastating aftermath ever since. This week, after hearing the latest update from her, my perspective is humbled and I’m convicted to learn more so that I can help in any way I can. I also hope to always remember to turn to the Lord first in prayer because even with faith the size of a mustard seed, the Lord can use that faith to move mountains! “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

We would be so happy if you would like to read and write along with us for Make A Difference Mondays, so that we may encourage one another toward acts of service that make a difference right in our own spheres of influence. Here’s the low-down: There will be six women regularly co-hosting this link-up that will appear on all six of our blogs and we also have three wonderful co-hosts who will fill in as guest hosts on the occasional day that a regular co-host is not able to post. Read on to learn more about our vision, mission, and how to link up!

Mission
Our mission is to provide a consistent gathering place for like-minded women to build online connections, share inspiration, and provide mutual encouragement and accountability as we seek to live intentionally and make a difference in the lives of those around us.

Vision
Every Monday we will invite bloggers to link-up any blog posts that encourage women to live life on purpose. This could include testimonies or goals from your own life, small acts of kindness or service, creative tips or ideas for showing consideration to others — the possibilities are endless. Our objective is to use our God-given time and resources to His glory because this is true for us all:
