Happy Monday! Thanks for being here for Make A Difference Mondays, a place to get intentional about starting our weeks focused on the positive and put our heads together to dream up ways we can make a difference in this world!

It’s hard to believe this is my 10th #MADMlinkup post here at She Lives Free, though our 11th week running – (shoutout to The Ruth Experience for guest posting last week!)

In the last 11 weeks, I’ve had a fair number of questions asked regarding details of the linkup, so I thought I’d make this a classic FAQ write-up this week! 🙂 If you are reading this, and have any other questions I can answer about Make A Difference Mondays, just hit me up anytime at sybil@shelivesfree.com.

Now, onto the Frequently Asked Questions!

Just who are the hosts of this linkup, anyway?!
Learn about the women behind the linkup/community here  🙂

Why do you include a large portion of the same text in your blog post week after week?
That would be just for the newbies brand new to the linkup, or just in case anyone else would like a refresher  🙂

Question: What is a ‘guest host’ and how can I become one?
Answer: This is the designation we’ve given to any women who have volunteered to host this weekly link up on any given Monday that a regular co-host is unavailable to host the linkup as usual. If you’re interested in learning more, feel free to email me at sybil@shelivesfree.com

Question: When and why did the linkup begin?

Answer: My super-awesome co-hosts and I began the linkup on Monday, April 21st 2014 after a few months worth of virtual planning and dreaming together. The project was born of a mutual desire to inspire, motivate, and encourage others to look for ways to make a difference each week, right where they’re at. Because without consistent encouragement, it is all too easy to forget the truth that:
Question: I know linkups are great for connecting with readers and other bloggers, but how can I go about making use of the opportunity to drive traffic to my blog and increase engagement there?
Answer: I have two ideas for you! Linkup co-hosts love it when you come to link up your posts, but they also love it when you actually comment on their blog posts, too. This is for multiple reasons, not the least of which is then they can match a name to the face type thing – in otherwords, you can introduce yourself a bit in the comments! Often a blogger will click your name in the comments and follow you back to your blog anyway, it’s always nice to know who’s stopping by 🙂 As time allows, this is a great way to get to know one another at both of our corners of the internet! I would also suggest link hopping a bit – this is a great way to get to know other bloggers in the blogosphere, who knows, you may just have new guests following you back to your corner of the net. All that is to say, the women who run Make A Difference Mondays really & truly hope that this linkup is as much a blessing to you and your blog, as it is to ours! We would love nothing more than to get to know you more week after week after week. On that note, be sure to join our new facebook community group if you haven’t already. It is already proving to be a blessing beyond what we could have hoped for as women find friends from across the country, they may never have met had they not made the leap! You will also be welcomed to share your blog post links in a weekly thread every Monday, as well as ask questions, bounce ideas off other likeminded women, ask for prayer, and anything else you may need!
Question: I adore what this linkup is all about! What can I do to support and spread the mission of this project?
Answer: We’d be humbled, honored, and crazy grateful if you’d link up with us whenever you have the opportunity to do so, and otherwise – just share, share, share if you believe in and want to back Make A Difference Mondays! Love it or hate it, the truth is sharing on social media is outstanding for spreading any message. Tagging a bloggers page or using the hashtag #MADMlinkup is also a great way to not only let the blogger know, but extend the reach of your share that much further – thanks in advance!

Ok, did I miss anything? If you have any other questions, be sure to ask away in the comments! Otherwise, read on for the full run-down on MADMs 🙂

Make A Difference Mondays is a weekly linkup designed to encourage and inspire us to live each day on purpose—making a meaningful difference in someone’s life in even the smallest of ways. There will be five women regularly co-hosting this link-up that will appear on all five of our blogs and we also have three wonderful co-hosts who will fill in as guest hosts on the occasional day that a regular co-host is not able to post. Read on to learn more about our vision, mission, and how to link up!

Our mission is to provide a consistent gathering place for like-minded women to build online connections, share inspiration, and provide mutual encouragement and accountability as we seek to live intentionally and make a difference in the lives of those around us.

Every Monday we will invite bloggers to link-up any blog posts that encourage women to live life on purpose. This could include testimonies or goals from your own life, small acts of kindness or service, creative tips or ideas for showing consideration to others — the possibilities are endless. Our objective is to use our God-given time and resources to His glory!

Also, just a heads-up: the Make A Difference Mondays team has created two fun new ways to keep us all connected! Now we have our own facebook community group to stay in touch beyond the blog posts AND we also have a new #MADMlinkup group Pinterest board! We will be pinning our favorite posts from the linkup that inspire and encourage us to make a difference. We are so grateful for you and would love for all of you to join us for fellowship in the above linked community group and you can follow the Pinterest board right here to watch for your posts: Make A Difference Mondays Pinterest Board
