If you have five minutes and five dollars to spend, then you can easily put together a last minute fourth of July tablescape for your holiday at home. I’m a beach lover myself, so this idea is a bit beachy themed, but I’m going to include a few different variations and ideas to get you started on customizing this idea to fit you best!

I picked up three of these buckets for one dollar each and a three pack of American flags, all from
Target’s dollar bin. I filled the buckets with sand from Target I already have at home, (because doesn’t everyone keep spare sand lying around)? Kidding! If you don’t have sand of any kind on hand and you decide to give this idea a try, you could always fill the buckets with stones, pebbles – you name it. Or if you like the beachy look like me, Target actually sells containers of sand in their home decor section. So in my case, I spent a total of four dollars to put this centerpiece together. But I’m thinking around $5 would be an average cost to spend on a simple, easy idea like this one. Not to mention the fact that you can customize it however you want!
Here are a few other ideas for using these items for your festivities this fourth of July.
The festive decoration in Alternative #1 picture is another one dollar deal from Target!
I’m a firm believer that a little glitz and glam makes life more fun, on the cheap of course 😉 So another idea I had for more red, white, and blue detail this holiday is shown in Alternative #2 picture. Maybe decorating your nails is more your speed than decorating your table? Yes this is a tablescape post, but the options are endless for using these red, white, and blue buckets this holiday weekend, and long afterward! So at our house, we’ll be using these items in more ways than one. My girls and I are painting our nails red, white, and blue, and one of these buckets happens to be a handy little holder for all our patriotic colors. Why not? Summer is short, so seize the day we shall!
Hoping this post is one small boost toward fab, fun, and frugal festivities this holiday weekend! Click the link below for more Independence Day ideas and feel free to link up your own patriotic posts below if you’re a blogger:

What a fun idea, and I love that it’s under $5!
Thanks Tshanina and thanks for visiting She Lives Free!
So much fun and so patriotic! I’m Canadian but I could definitely do this with Canada flags for next year.
Thanks for sharing (and for linking up to the SHINE Blog Hop).
Wishing you a lovely weekend.

Thanks Jennifer! Yes I think this quick & easy little centerpiece is so adaptable for any use! : )
