September was a pretty sweet month around here – crazy productive and fruitful!  There was a trip to Bloggy Con during a long weekend away at Cedar Point and Lake Erie at the beginning of the month and a trip to the Influence Conference at the end of the month.  With lots & lots of blogging in between 😉  Between writing for the Well StudioMake A Difference Mondays, starting a series on why I don’t have it all together and you don’t have to either because we’re already enough even in our imperfections, and much more – it’s been a busy month on the blog!

October

And now we’re fresh into October!  It was a blink and you’ll miss it summer.  But my hope is to live out the words of this favorite quote of mine, “Wherever you are, be all there!  Live to the hilt every situation you believe to be the will of God.” – Jim Elliott

So it’s time to embrace fall and all that it brings … cool weather and all  😉  One fun thing it brings for me is the anniversary of the inception of this little corner of the internet.  My husband bought my domain name and did the full installation of shelivesfree.com as a birthday present for me last year, right on my birthday.  So to celebrate one year of blogging – I have a gift for YOU!  🙂  I am putting together a review round-up post of all my favorite tools and resources I’ve used in the past year.  I’ll also be sharing a few I have found recently that I hope to start using soon.  And lastly – a giveaway of a few of these tools for bloggers!  So if you are a blogger, be sure to come back this Sunday for some new ideas and a giveaway to hopefully help out your own space too!

A few of my goals this month include:

  • Finishing at least two books I have slated to review on the blog.  First up:  The Hardest Peace: Expecting Grace in the Midst of Life’s Hard – I’m only a few chapters in, but I love this book deep down into my soul!
  • Post my two travel destination reviews soon to come – hopefully both by the end of next week!
  • Continue working towards the launch of a small business.  This month that means celebrating the little things, like the theme and framework being installed for the new website, along with a ‘coming soon’ page.  That much should be up this weekend 🙂
  • Take my girls to our local Renaissance Festival

So talk to me 🙂  What are you looking forward to this fall?  What are your goals this month?
