Many of you know or know of my youngest daughter, Emma. She is passionate about many things – two of which are baking and making a difference in the lives of others. So when we learned of a way she could combine her two loves by baking for a cause, we jumped on it!American Girl has partnered with No Kid Hungry to host a nationwide bake sale. Every dollar raised will equal ten meals for those in need. The money raised will help connect kids to meals, cooking classes, and more. Plus, every group that signs up gets the chance to win a special prize package.
For 1 in 5 kids in America, hunger makes it hard to play, learn, and grow. So if you’d like to gather the girls in your life and join the nationwide bake sale sponsored by American Girl and No Kid Hungry, you can help all kids in America get the food they need. We’ll be rounding up Emma’s older sister and as many friends as we can to help hungry kids this year! If you’re not local to our area and won’t be able to attend our bake sales, you can click here to visit the bake sale page directly that Emma set up – she named it Bake A Difference 🙂
I first learned of No Kid Hungry through their blogger program I joined awhile back. If you’d like to learn more about becoming a No Kid Hungry blogger, click here. For more American Girl posts, click here. And on an unrelated note – to enter our custom necklace giveaway ending soon, click here! 😉
Make A Difference Mondays is a weekly linkup designed to encourage and inspire us to live each day on purpose by making a meaningful difference in someone’s life in even the smallest of ways. Read on to learn more about our vision, mission, and how to link up!
Mission
Our mission is to provide a consistent gathering place for like-minded women to build online connections, share inspiration, and provide mutual encouragement and accountability as we seek to live intentionally and make a difference in the lives of those around us.
Vision
Every Monday we will invite bloggers to link up any blog post that encourages women to live life on purpose. This could include testimonies or goals from your own life, small acts of kindness or service, creative tips or ideas for showing consideration to others — the possibilities are endless. Our objective is to use our God-given time and resources to His glory!
Also, just a heads-up: the Make A Difference Mondays team has created two fun new ways to keep us all connected! Now we have our own Facebook community group to stay in touch beyond the blog posts AND we also have a new #MADMlinkup group Pinterest board and we will be pinning our favorite posts from the linkup that inspire and encourage us to make a difference. We are so grateful for you and would love for all of you to join us for fellowship in the above linked community group and you can follow the Pinterest board right here to watch for your posts:

I love to see the way our kids can take an idea, a passion, a hope and make it bloom. I think this is one of the other aspects of child-like faith that we need to ponder in our own walk. They look at an obstacle and trust that God is big enough to move it… even so to allow them to be a part of the solution.
Thank you for sharing, Sybil!
Blessings,
Dawn
